Day 1 - X-Dance

In the middle of the biggest storm of the year The Go Big Crew reluctantly leaves Tahoe for the X-Dance Film Festival to represent there selected film "Ride A Wave". For one insane week each winter, the world's top action sports filmmakers and athletes, along with cutting-edge bands, DJs and key figures from the entertainment industry, gather in Salt Lake City, Utah, to celebrate action sports culture at the annual X-DANCE Action Sports Film Festival.

Our film "Ride a Wave" was selected by X-Dance out of hundreds of submitted films. Other nominees include Warren Miller Entertainment, Teton Gravity Research, Standard Films, Matchstick Productions, The Ski Channel, Fluid Films, Poor Boyz Productions, The Burton Corporation, Sector 9, Red Bull Media House and many more. You can check out "Ride a Wave" here at the Hub. Our first day was off the hook, film premiers all day and the opening party with Collective Soul that night. The crew all agree that the film of the day was "The Edge of Never", an insane story told Bill Kerig, exploring the heart of extreme skiing and the relationship between father and son Trevor and Kye Petersen. The party was off the hook featuring live art, Collective Soul, and the X-Dance and Outdoor Retail Convention participants. We hooked up with the team from Phlawless Industries and the rest is blurred history. The crew finally hit the hotel room sometime that night and gets ready do it all over again tomorrow!
