Local David Rutherford Takes the Check
Congratulations to local hero David Rutherford!
Another EPIC day of tube riding went down and we crowned our 2010 Quik Pro Puerto champ David Rutherford. Thanks to all who made the event an incredible event.
In 6-8 (occasional 10) ft. surf, these guys charged. The Finals held this morning consisted of David Rutherford (MEX) 1, Kevin Sullivan (HAW) 2, Casey Brown (HAW) 3 and Ricardo dos Santos (BRA) 4. These guys were letting it all hang out today working for the big check. Winds were typical Puerto off shore and wave heights were well over double overhead on some sets.
Rutherford dropped some great scores pretty much leaving everyone in the dust. Let that be said, Local knowledge goes a long way.
